Parent Involvement

Ridgetop is a very open school when it comes to families and they appreciate
parent involvement. Here are some ways to join in:

  • Every morning, all the grades meet in the Auditorium for silent reading until Announcement time at 7:45. You’re welcome to sit with your child and read until the bell rings.
  • From the Auditorium, older grades and younger grades rotate every other day going to Wellness. Exercising in the gym is a good way to wake kids up and get their energy out. Parents are welcome to join in!
  • Eat lunch with your child. They love it and you’ll get to know the other children in the class. Younger siblings can come too and feel like big kids.
  • Find out your child’s library day/time and ask your teacher if it’s all right if you come. Librarian Rice does not mind visitors.
  • Join in Garden Days at the school where classes come out in shifts all day to work on the gardens (dates TBA).
  • Join Amigos (Ridgetop’s PTA) to meet other families and become involved in events throughout the year. The more, the merrier (and the better our school will be for our children).
  • The best way to find out where help is needed is to contact our Parent Support Specialist

Welcome to Ridgetop!
